I am a native New Yorker with Central Asian and Bosnian ancestry. My wonderful parents immigrated to the US in the early 1950's from Istanbul and voila, I was born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens and Long Island. Grafitti is a part of NY culture and I love it. Having lived and traveled in Turkey, I fell in love with Ottoman calligraphy. My work is a fusion of both but also contains lots of symbolism from Vikings due to my travels to Norway, the UK, and other countries.  Some of my paintings have writings in 20 languages - from Hebrew to Russian, Turkish, Thai, Arabic, Greek, Kannada, Burmese, Hindi, and dialects of other languages.
